Hand-selected Rudraksha malas for personal spiritual practice

From bead to mala

Made with attention at every stage

Every Siddha Mala is prepared through a careful process before it reaches the wearer. The final design is settled with you: your preferred size, bead quality, wearing style and requirement.

Step 01

Selection

Beads are chosen by mukhi, size, shape, quality and the purpose of the mala. Nothing is picked at random, and we tell you honestly when a bead is not available.

Step 02

Cleansing

The selected beads are gently cleaned and prepared before any stringing begins.

Step 03

Certification

Certification is arranged where required, so you have a written record of the Rudraksha used in your mala.

Step 04

Weaving

The mala is strung on your chosen thread, silver chain or silver work, then checked bead by bead before it leaves us.

Customisation

What you can choose

A Siddha Mala can be customised according to size, bead combination, thread colour, silver work and spiritual requirement.

01

Size

Regular, Medium, Large or Collector size.

02

Thread colour

Red, black or yellow thread according to your preference.

03

Silver work

Silver chain, silver capping on each bead, or silver work on selected beads.

04

Bead combination

The combination can be discussed according to your purpose and what is genuinely available.

05

Certification

Certification arranged according to customer requirement.

06

Energization

Rudri Pooja energization before the mala is handed over or dispatched.

Thread or silver

Thread is the older and lighter option and can be knotted between beads, so that if the cord ever gives way you lose one bead rather than the whole mala. Silver capping protects each bead at the drilled hole and makes the mala hang more evenly, at the cost of weight and price. Neither is more traditional than the other, choose for how you will actually wear it.

Certification

Certification is arranged according to your requirement. The dependable test for a Rudraksha and its mukhi count is a laboratory X‑ray, which shows the internal compartments matching the faces on the outside. Household tests involving water, milk or copper coins are widely repeated but do not actually establish anything.

Rudri Pooja

Energization of the mala

For many devotees, energization is an important final step before wearing a Siddha Mala. It is a traditional way of beginning with respect, prayer and a clear intention.

  • 1Purification. The selected mala is cleaned and prepared respectfully before the pooja begins.
  • 2Rudri Pooja. Prayers and traditional chanting are offered to Lord Shiva.
  • 3Sankalp. The wearer keeps a personal intention: focus in studies, calmness, or steady progress in work.
  • 4First wearing. The mala is worn with faith, and then kept with regular care and respect.

Entirely optional

If you would prefer to have the pooja performed by your own family priest, or at your own temple, we will simply hand the mala over clean and unenergized. Energization gives spiritual meaning to the moment you begin wearing your mala. It is a personal devotional practice, and not a promise of any guaranteed result.
